Lockdown Life & The Cult Product You Need to Know

WooWoo's tame it! became a cult product of 2020. Closed salons and spas meant beauty aficionados had to search out home alternatives for hair colouring, nail maintenance, and waxing.

I’ve had a mix of yellow, orange, and blue (the shampoo to get rid of brassy tones was left on too long) over the last nine months. My brows look like untamed caterpillars - I need to get one of those beauty mirrors with the lights around them so that I can see something in my dingy bathroom and upgrade my tweezers as it looks like there's another few months of this. The stick-on nails were a wonderful discovery for 24 hours until I tried to haul up my jeans (it's more of a struggle getting into them these days) and they pinged off in every direction.

My hero product of 2020 has to be Woowoo Tame it! A self-care miracle! A delight to behold! Even its name cheered me up, as if those clever ladies at Woowoo could see the hack job that was required to find the wonder down under through the jungle. The whole WooWoo range is fun! I bought the Cranberry Cleanse too, to get my order to the £12 free shipping. My delivery arrived two days later in a plain white box (no outward signs to my family of my bad maintenance) with some fun stickers that now adorn my work laptop and phone case.

The cranberry cleanse is ph-balanced for intimate use, it smells nice and doesn’t dry my skin like other products, but the star of the show was the Tame It! Hair Removal Cream. A fast-acting, in-shower Hair Removal Cream. Not like the hair removal creams of old, this vegan, cruelty-free formula was designed for use on your bits and bum. Hurrah! I’ve been a mix of shaving and waxing since my teens, more shaving in the last few years as I’ve been too busy to get booked in for waxes so had to shave to keep things under control. Shaving is fine for the front bit, but how do you get into the nooks and crannies... I mean bum hair! That's the hair that you really want rid of, isn’t it?

I look forward to trying more WooWoo products in the future as I love what the brand stands for and the well-priced products (and to get my mitts on more stickers ;-)
